Capul Island is an island municipality of Northern Samar. The name Capul comes from the shortened version of its previous name, Acapulco, which hailed during the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade. It has a functioning lighthouse built by the Spanish in the late 1800s.
It might not be in the usual tourist path of Eastern Visayas tourists, but this rustic town will offer you culture and nature all at once.
The historic fortress church, white sand beaches, the lighthouse, and hospitable locals will make your trip here worth it.
